Perfume Recipes Essential Oils
Can I use coffee essential oil only for a coffee scented perfume?
I really love the smell of freshly brewed coffee and I want to make a body mist or perfume of that scent. I researched a bit about how to make perfume and I realised that it requires heart notes, middle notes…etc. with different essential oils. If I only use coffee essential oil with vodka and spring water, will the perfume give the smell of the oil I used or do I need to use other essential oils?
If so, can you provide a mixture of the essential oils (heart note, middle note…etc.) that will give off a coffee scent? Or a coffee perfume recipe? Thank you in advance!
Please provide a useful answer, best answer will receive 10 points!
Thanks again!
Well, even just to make a spray out of the essential oil to make my room smell like it would be awesome too! How would you do that though?
I love coffee too. The problem is if you wear oil it’s going to cause acne.
You need a alcohol base with a oil. The alcohol will overtake the oil scent or change it to a bad smell. You do realize perfume makers spend years perfecting a scent. A simple way to make a “perfume” or Atleast smell like coffee is getting a bag of coffee beans and in a small lace or sache pour a handful. Just rub the beans roughly and the scent will transfer. They use these bags at candle shops to “clear your nose” when checking different scents to candles. Rub the bag of beans and rub your neck. You will get a faint scent. I carry a bag of beans in my car to remove cigarette scent off my fingers.
