If people stopped buying perfume for a year the money could resolve world poverty, what do you think?

Apparently this is the case, if it is the case what do you think about it?

if no weapons were sold or bought and all that money put aside it and other suggestions can all seemingly offer to raise enough money so everybody can have a decent amount to get by on.
theoretically that is. In real world nothing is that simple. if we all had say an equal share of a large money pot within two years most of that money would have gone back to the 10% of population whom already own 90% of our wealth. think of it as an unequal playing field. history shows us that there will Always be those whom can earn, wheedle or steal others money etc eventually ending up with wholesale poverty and a section with much affluence ( same as always) nature at work?
